The Government of the Republic of Argentina and the IDB are jointly organizing the Business Forum “Intelligent Integration with the world: promoting regional economies and infrastructure investment” to take place on Friday, March 23rd at the Intercontinental Hotel in Mendoza. The event will provide an opportunity for private sector leaders and governments of the region to discuss the opportunities, priorities and challenges for the economic growth and global competitiveness of Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC), with an emphasis on regional integration, the role of regional economies as an engine of development, and investment in infrastructure.

In the context of the Forum, the Minister of Finance of Argentina, Luis Caputo, will offer a presentation on the investment opportunities in Argentina, while the General Manager of IDB Invest, James P. Scriven, will share with the audience how IDB Invest supports the private sector in LAC through innovative financial solutions such as loans, equity, guarantees as well as advisory services in strategic sectors including infrastructure, energy, transport, water and sanitation, agribusiness, telecommunications, and sustainable tourism.

Moreover, the Forum will provide an ideal setting for participants to interact with each other, promoting business opportunities and public-private cooperation in the region.
